Have some ripe bananas that need to be use? This recipe is great to use up all your ripe bananas. Plus you and your whole family will love these, especially babies and toddlers. I love making these for my little baby Liv. They are a perfect nutritious baby-led food for little ones since they are soft and easy to eat. Also, they are naturally sweetened with unsweetened applesauce and a bit of pure maple syrup instead of added processed sugar.

Ingredients for banana oatmeal cookies

These cookies are packed with nutritious healthy ingredients. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Oats: I buy the organic instant oats from Bob mills but you can also use rolled oats and blend them up a bit in a blender.
  • Whole wheat flour
  • Baking powder
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Egg
  • Unsweetened organic apple sauce: Most applesauce has added sugar, I always buy the apple sauce with no sugar added. Apples already have healthy sugars in them so why have the unnecessary added sugar.
  • Pure maple syrup: Swap out any syrup for pure maple syrup. The only ingredient is maple syrup that’s it! So much better for you than all the other syrups that have tons of high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, and tons of other not-so-good preservatives.
  • Ripe mashed bananas

Together they combine into an amazing banana oatmeal cookies that you’ll want to make again! These cookies are perfect for a quick healthy breakfast or snack.
